| Manager – Procurement Responsibilities: • Provide strategic and tactical leadership (materials planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control and distribution). • Driving continuous improvement in on-time delivery, cost savings, productivity, and inventory reduction. • Effectively manage inventory levels to satisfy internal customer demand, while maintaining inventory targets. • Review PM JIT planning, recognizes potential problem areas, and takes necessary action steps to prevent/ correct anticipated issues (PM shortages & quality issues, availability and downtime to corrective measures). • Direct the key sourcing and purchasing duties, and negotiation. Source for competitive suppliers to lower total costs while maintaining the integrity of our products supplied to the company and manages suppliers to gain the best suppliers and guarantee an optimum supply chain which includes minimizing purchasing risks. • Control costs within established standards. • Monitor the national and international market to bring new suppliers, product derivatives and product innovations into purchasing portfolio. • Analyze and control contractual agreements to prepare renegotiations/subsequent negotiations; as well as initiate appropriate measures and guarantee supplies. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or Operations. • Must possess at least 5 years of experience in procurement and operations (planning, & scheduling, quality, warehouse, transportation and inventories). • Possess an analytical mind frame, and possess high negotiation skills. • Must be able to function well in a strong teamwork environment, and able to work on tight deadlines. Requirements: • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree or Master's Degree in Law or equivalent. • Strong command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia is imperative; • At least one (1) to three (3) years of working experience in the legal profession and/or commercial sector. • Applicants must be willing to travel. • Keen eye for details and meticulous. • Good verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of Microsoft office systems. • Independent, willing to learn, flexible and adaptable. • Able to work with minimum supervision. • Working knowledge of leasing, hire-purchase and factoring will be an added advantage • Salary will be commensurate with experience and ability.
